September Update: 2026 Season Wrap-Up & What’s Next
Hi Westside Panther Families,
With our final matches now played, that brings the football side of our 2026 season to a close.
It’s been another big year for Westside and, before we get into what’s still to come, a big thank you to all our players, coaches, managers, volunteers, parents, supporters and sponsors who have helped us throughout the year.
Finals Soccer
Congratulations to the four Westside teams who represented the club in this year’s Finals Series.
Our U12 Green side made it all the way to the Grand Final, going down 3–1 to Bulls in a tough game. It wasn’t the result they were hoping for, but making a Grand Final is a great achievement and something the players and coaches should be proud of.
Our Men’s 3rd Grade also had a great finals run, with their season coming to an end against SDW after the game went all the way to penalties.
Our Men’s 1st Grade and 2nd Grade both made it through to the Semi-Finals before their seasons came to an end.
Well done to all four teams on making the Finals Series and representing Westside throughout.
Junior Presentation
It’s time to celebrate our MiniRoos and Junior players and wrap up their 2026 season.
Our Junior Presentation will be held Saturday, 26 September at Pioneer Oval.
Event starts: 11:00am
Presentations: 11:30am
Sausage Sizzle: From 12:00pm
Jumping Castle: Available throughout the event
Every registered Westside junior player attending will receive a complimentary sausage sandwich and drink.
We’ll also have extras available for families and friends:
Sausage sandwiches: $3 each
Drinks: $2 each
Come along, enjoy the afternoon and help us celebrate the season with our junior players.
Senior Presentation
Our 2026 Senior Presentation Night is Friday, 9 October at Club Dubbo.
We’ll bring the senior group together one last time for the year to celebrate the season and recognise our players, teams, coaches and volunteers.
Tickets are available now, so if you’re planning on coming along, make sure you grab yours before sales close.
2026 End of Season Feedback
As we wrap up 2026 and start looking towards next season, we’d like to hear how you think we went.
Our end of season survey is now open and gives players, parents, coaches and volunteers an opportunity to tell us what worked well this year and where you think we can improve.
The feedback will help the Committee review the season and identify where we should be focusing our efforts heading into 2027.
It only takes a few minutes, and we’d really appreciate as many people as possible having their say.

Annual General Meeting
Our 2026 Annual General Meeting is currently planned for Sunday, 1 November, with further details to come.
Players, parents, coaches and members are all welcome to attend. We’ll look back at the year, talk about what’s ahead for 2027 and give everyone an opportunity to get involved in the future of Westside.
All committee positions are declared vacant at the AGM, with nominations open for anyone interested in joining the committee.

While the games might be finished, we’ve still got plenty happening around the club over the next few weeks.
